How to grow woodland phlox?

Down here we have a variety called Blue Ridge phlox, and it is a low woodlands plant that needs lots of shade. Typically in this type of environment there is a lot of mulch, so make up the soil with lots of leaf mulch, peat moss and rich humus. Keep the area relatively moist (water in the evening or morning) and provide shade.
